Title: Analysis of Group A Rotavirus Infection in Children's Diarrhea
Abstract: Objective To understand the incidence and the trends of rotavirus infection in children with diarrhea in this region during the past three years.Methods From 2009 to 2011,a total of 1226 cases of diarrhea feces were detected by group A rotavirus colloid gold assay reagents,retrospective and statistical analysis of the data from all cases were performed.Results In 2009,2010,and 2011,group A rotavirus positive rates were 25.9%,24.9%,32.7% respectively,in 2011 the incidence was significantly higher than that of the previous two years,χ2=7.898,P=0.019.The infection rate in different seasons were basically the same,low in summer,winter and spring high,χ2=54.761,P=0.000.Children of the age less than 2 were more common,χ2=20.119,P=0.000.Conclusion Group A rotavirus infection was an important cause of diarrhea in children in the region.The infection could occur throughout the year,seasonal changes in the incidence was obvious,the main epidemic seasons were winter and spring.The incidence was of an upward trend.To strengthen prevention,early diagnosis,and early treatment were needed.
