Title: The expression of Survivin and VEGF in endometrial carcinoma and their correlation
Abstract: Objective To explore the expression of Survivin and VEGF in endometrial carcinoma and their relationship with clinicopathologic features. Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of Survivin and VEGF in 68 samples of endometrial carcinoma and 50 samples of normal endometrial. Results The positive rate of Survivin of endometrial carcinoma was much higher than normal endometrial(70.6% vs 26.0%);The positive rates of VEGF were 72.1% and 22.0% in endometrial carcinoma and normal endometrial respectively(P0.01);The expression of Survivin and VEGF were positively associated with lymph node metastasis, clinical stage and tissue differentiation(P0.05);Significant correlation was found between Survivin and VEGF(P0.05).Conclusion The expression of Survivin and VEGF are closely related to occurrence and development of endometrial carcinoma.Combined detection has predictive value for evaluating the prognosis.
