Title: Modeling and simulation of electric power steering system based on AMESim
Abstract: The mathematical models of the EPS primary module were built through studying the system.The software named AMESim was used to establish simulation model of EPS system and the controller model was constructed in Matlab Simulink,which was employed to the coupling of the simulation.The traditional proportional integral and speed negative feedback control of motor were applied to EPS system with variable damp.Shimmy of steering wheel could be reduced.Controllability and stability of steering system were both given attention.From the analysis results it is concluded that dynamic characteristics of EPS system are influenced by key parameters of EPS system.Suggestions for design and matching of EPS are provided from analysis of the simulation results.
