Title: A feasibility study on single blastocyst transfer in warming cycles
Abstract: Objective:To compare the pregnancy rate, implantation rate, the rate of multiple births of single blastocyst transfer and double embryo transfer in frozen-thawed cycle,we divided into several groups by different ages, and explore the feasibility of single blastocyst transfer. Methods:We chose 1367 blastocyst frozen-thawed cycle in 2012 as the research object, which is divided into two groups. One is single blastocyst transfer and the other is double blastocyst transfer, then according to different age, each group were divided into A group(less than 35 years),group B(35 to 38)and C group(over 38 years). The pregnancy rate, implantation rate and multiple pregnancy rate were compared and analyzed respectively. Results:The pregnancy rates(51.52%,32.65%)of group A and group C single blastocyst transfer were significantly lower than that of double embryo transfer(62.73%,50.65%),and pregnancy rate(48.39%)of group B single blastocyst transfer was slightly lower than the double embryo transfer(56.84%),no significant differences between the three age groups; The implantation rate(44.51%,41.94%,24.49%)of single blastocyst transfer is slightly higher than the implantation rate(38.79%,31.05%,22.73%) of double blastocyst transfer,no significant difference;multiple pregnancy of single blastocyst transfer occurs only in group A(2.96%),were significantly lower than the group of double blastocyst transfer(23.34%,29.63%,15.38%),and the highest multiple births rate of double blastocyst transfer is group B,group C was the lowest, with no significant difference. Conclusion:In freezing-thawing cycle, patients less than 38 years old can choose single blastocyst transfer, and for patients more than 38 years is recommended for double embryo transfer.
