Abstract:Objective To observe and evaluate the clinical effects of using band restoration after primary molars root canal treatment in order to improve the success rate of clinical treatment.Methods 120 primar...Objective To observe and evaluate the clinical effects of using band restoration after primary molars root canal treatment in order to improve the success rate of clinical treatment.Methods 120 primary molars root canal treatments were selected and randomly divided into three groups.The primary molars were filled with FX glass ionomer cements(group 1),3MZ250 light-cured composite resin(group 2) and band restoration after filling with 3MZ250 light-cured composite resin(group 3).All patients were followed up after 3 months,6 months and 12 months.Results The success rate of group 1 was 90%,80%,55%,group 2 was 87.5%,75%,57.5% and group 3 was 100%,85%,92.5%.The first two groups showed no significant difference(P0.01).But there was statistically significant difference between the first two groups and the three group(P0.01).Conclusion Using band restoration after primary molars root canal treatment was a simple and good method for a successful clinical treatment.Read More
