Title: Dynamic change rule of serum level of VEGF in non-small cell lung cancer patients and its clinical significance
Abstract: Objective To study the changes of serum levels of VEGF before and after operation in non-small cell lung cancer patients and its clinical significance. Methods The pre-operational and post-operational levels of serum VEGF were detected by ELISA kit in 35 cases of non-small cell lung cancer. The data was analyzed with SPSS 13.0, age and sex was compared using t-test, analysis of variance, and other means. Results The levels of VEGF increased significantly after the operation. The expression of VEGF was closely related to cancer size and cell differentiation (P0.05), but not to age, sex, TNM, lymph node involvement and metastasis. Conclusion The changes of serum levels of VEGF play an important role in the progression and metastasis of the non-small cell lung cancer. The detection of VEGF expression may be used as an important indicator for invasion, metastasis, and prognosis of non-small cell lung cancer.
