Title: Off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting with total arterial revascularization in 15 cases
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the clinic value and significance of off pump coronary artery bypass grafting with total arterial revascularization. Methods From June 2001 to October 2003,off pump coronary artery bypass grafting with the beating heart were applied to 40 patients suffering from severe coronary artery disease and total arterial revascularization were used to 15 of 40 patients.Stabilizers of CTS were used during operation. The grafts include mammary artery (17) and radial artery (18).The average number of graft is 2 33 pieces per case. Results No off pump was changed to on pump,no postoperative myocardial infarction happened and mortality is zero in this group. All cases recovered smoothly.Patiens stayed in hospital for 13~27 days, averaging 16 52 days. Conclusions Off pump total arterial revascularization coronary artery bypass grafting is safe, effective and economic. But the long term effects need further observation and investigation.
