Title: Short-term efficacy analysis of laparoscope-assisted versus open surgery in the treatment of colon cancer
Abstract: Objective To explore the short-term efficacy of laparoscopy-assisted versus open surgery in the treatment of colon cancer. Methods Seventy patients with colon cancer were randomly divided into observation group ( 36 patients) in which the patients were treated with laparoscopy-assisted surgery and control group ( 34 patients) in which the patients were treated with open surgery. Short-term efficacy of both groups was observed. Results The surgery time of the patients in the observation group was longer than that of the patients in the control group( P 0. 01) ,while the operative blood loss of the patients in the observation group was less than that of the patients in the control group( P 0. 01) . Postoperative bowel function recovery time, postoperative activity time and hospitalization time of the patients in the observation group were significantly lower than those of the patients in the control group( P 0. 01) . Conclusion Laparoscopy-assisted surgery which has the advantages of safety, small wound, less blood loss and quick recovery is worthy of clinical application.
