Title: Studies on Structure and Magnetic Property of Superfine Alloy Powder Fe_(60)Co_(20)C_(20)
Abstract: The superfine alloy powder Fe_(60)Co_(20)C_(20) was prepared by using mechanical alloying method. The samples collected at different ball milling time were analyzed by X-ray diffraction and magnetic hysteresis cycles. The X-ray diffraction analysis show that part of the alloy powders produced amorphous phase after ball milling 20 hours, the formation of amorphous material can be promoted by the addition of C into Fe-Co alloy, the crystal grain sizes of the alloy powders became smaller with the increase of ball milling time, and Fe_(60)Co_(20)C_(20) amorphous powders can be obtained under certain mechanical alloying conditions. The study of VSM indicated that coercive force increases at the initial stage of ball milling.Part of the alloy powders starts to become amorphous phase after ball milling 20 hours and coercive force decrease with the decrease of crystal grain sizes. The crystal grain sizes by ball milling is the primary element in affecting the magnetic properties of samples.
