Title: Anti-tumor and Immunomodulatory Activity of Polysaccharide from Lactarius deliciosus Fruit Bodies
Abstract: The antitumor and immunomodulatory activity of a polysaccharide(LDG-A) extracted from Lactarius deliciosus fruit bodies were evaluated.Polysaccharide was administered by intraperitoneal injection into tumor-bearing Kunming mice and the tumor inhibition rate and various organ indices were determined.LDG-A significantly inhibited the growth of S180 tumor in vivo, with inhibition rates of 48.7% and 68.5% recorded at dose levels of 14 mg/kg/d and 28 mg/kg/d,respectively.No obvious injury to internal organs or other side effects were evident.LDG-A also promoted the in vitro proliferation of normal liver cells and inhibited the in vitro proliferation of Hep-2 and HepG-2 tumor cells in a dose-dependent manner.Hep-2 cell proliferation was inhibited 50.8%,and HepG-2 cell proliferation 32.7%,at LDG-A concentrations of 600μg/mL and 150μg/mL,respectively.
