Title: Isolation and Identification of a Strain of Probiotic Bacillus
Abstract: [Objective] The aim was to provide the theoretical basis for developing good probiotic bacterium. [Method] With soil samples collected from the place near the hencoop in Beijing Institute of Husbandry and Veterinary of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences as the materials, the strains were isolated from soil samples and cultured for purification by diluted plate method. And the physiological and biochemical characteristics and amylase activity of isolated strains were determined. [Result] A strain of Bacillus (No. P-31) was isolated from soil samples. Based on the results of 16S rDNA sequencing, phylogenetic tree analysis and physiological and biochemical identification, this strain was ascertained as Bacterium anthracoides and its logging number in 16S rDNA GeneBank was GU271136. The results of hydratase activity determination showed that this strain had the activity of producing protease and amylase. [Conclusion] The strain P-31, isolated in this study had good development prospect as probiotic bacterium.
