Title: Clinical experience for treating lumbar disc herniation pain by acupuncture
Abstract: Objective: To discuss the value of acupuncture treatment on lumbar disc herniation pain and summarize the treatment experience. Methods: 900 admitted patients from May 2007 to December 2012 were randomly divided into observation group and control group of 450 cases. Observation group were treated with acupuncture treatment, control group with traction. Statistical treatment time and treatment groups to evaluate acupuncture therapy and traction therapy in the treatment of lumbar disc pain in effect. Results: The mean duration of treatment was 12.5 days, the control group, the average duration of treatment was 20.4 days. Observation group, the average duration of treatment was significantly shorter than the control group, it was statistically significant. Observation group, P0.05. Observation group, 378 cases were cured, effective in 55 cases, ineffective in 17 cases. The efficiency was 96.3%, compared with 89.3% of the control group, there is a statistically significant difference, P0.05. Conclusion: Acupuncture treatment of lumbar disc pain can shorten the treatment time, improve treatment efficiency, worthy of further application.
