Title: Clinical value of the identification of superficial pathological lymph node with ultrasound examination
Abstract: Objective To explore the value of ultrasound identification of the benign lymph node and the malignant superficial tumescent lymph node. Methods The manifestation, internal echo, the L/T ratio, CDFI and RI frequency spectrum feature of the superficial lymph nodes were studied with high frequency and color Doppler ultrasound 89 cases. Results The high rate of distinction and the color Doppler ultrasound were beneficial to distinguish the benign superficial lymph nodes from the malignant.About 85% of the 38 cases of the benign lymph node's L/T ratio was larger than 2 in average(2.01±0.22) and about 65% of the benign lymph node's cortices widened toward the central core. CDFI of the benign lymph nodes showed the signal of the blood flow at the hilum of the node. RI was 0.63±0.08. About 86% of the malignant superficial lymph node's L/T ratio was lower than 2 in average(1.46±0.22), and about 69% of the malignant superficial lymph node's cortices displayed eccontric widening.CDFI of the malignant superficial lymph nodes showed irregular signal of the blood flow, RI was 0.70±0.09.There were significant differences between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Color Doppler ultrasound identification has value for differential diagnosis of benign and malignant lymphadenectasis and can be the mettod of first choice.
