Title: CT findings of mediastinal lymph node metastasis in peripheral non-small cell lung cancer
Abstract: Objective To analyze the CT features of mediastinal lymph node metastasis in peripheral nonsmall cell lung cancer. Methods The clinical data of 86 patients with peripheral non-small cell lung cancer received preoperative chest enhanced CT scan were retrospectively analyzed, including tumor size, location, density, leaf, pleural indentation level,CT value, and whether to display mediastinal lymph nodes and its number, size, and the surrounding conditions. Results The independent factor affecting mediastinal lymph node metastasis included number of mediastinal lymph nodes, size, boundaries, tumor size, density, location, extent of pleural depression, and tumor histological type. Conclusion The mediastinal lymph node metastasis in peripheral non-small cell lung cancer is not only related with lymph nodes, but with its border, tumor size, location and density.
