Title: Study on the protective effects of Danqi in myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury in rabbits
Abstract: Objective To study the protective effects of Danqi on myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury in rabbits. Methods Eighteen rabbits were divided into three groups randomly: sham operation group, model group, Danqi intervention group. The operation was performed after the last perfusion. Models of ischemia reperfusion injury were established with the branch-ligation of left coronary artery. The indexes of left heart function were recorded by BL-420F biological function experiment system. After reperfusion 120 minutes, blood samples from common carotid artery were collected and the activity of creatine kinase(CK), nitric oxide synthase(NOS) were tested, and the contents of nitric oxide(NO) were examined with colorimetric method. Results Compared with the sham operation group, the levels of left ventricular systolic blood pressure(LVSP) in the model group, left heart interior maximum pressure rise rate(+dp/dt max), left heart indoor pressure maximum decline rate(-dp/dt max) were significantly decreased, the levels of left ventricular end-diastolic pressure(LVEDP) were significantly increased(P0.01), the activity of CK was significantly increased, the activity of NOS and the content of NO were signifi cantly decreased(P0.01). Compared with the model group, the levels of LVSP, +dp/dt max,-dp/dt max in Danqi intervention group were signifi cantly increased, the levels of LVEDP were signifi cantly decreased(P0.05); the activity of CK was signifi cantly decreased, the activity of NOS and the content of NO were signifi cantly increased(P0.05). Conclusion Danqi has protective effects on myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury in rabbits.
