Title: Evaluate the clinical effect of recombinant human interleukin-11 for treatment of chemotherapy-induced thrombocytopenia
Abstract: OBJECTIVE:To observe the efficacy and toxicity profile of recombinant human interleukin-11(rhIL-11) for treatment of chemotherapy-Induced thrombocytopenia. METHODS: Forty-eight patients with Carcinoma were randomly divided to treatment group and compare group, rhIL-11 was given 50 μg/(kg·d) on treat group, basic drugs was given on compare group. the efficacy, toxicity profile were observe. RESULTS: The lowest platelet counts is (35.78±5.63)×109L~-1 on treat group, and it was (31.77±4.84)×109L~-1 on compare group, t=2.62,P=0.01. The last time of platelet counts reduction was (7.71±2.48) d on treat group, which is shorter than (9.33±2.18)d on compare group, t=3.34, P=0.00. The main side effects include fatigue、injection pain、edema、article-muscle pain、irrhythmia and dizziness. the side effects majority were tolerable and mild. CONCLUSION: Homemade rhIL-11 was effective and safe to chemotherapy-Induced thrombocytopenia.
