Title: Research on Application of Hicks-Henne Function in Airfoil Shape Parameterization & Convergence
Abstract: Airfoil shape parameterization is an important link of wind turbine airfoil optimize design.To solve the problem of airfoil parameterization unified mathematical model,the application of Hicks-Henne function and improved algorithm in wind turbine airfoil parameterization were studied.By controlling the coefficients of HicksHenne function,to avoid airfoil crossing and not smooth phenomenon,the smooth of the whole wing shape was ensured.Through controlling the key points and design variables,the coverage of design spatial and influence of design variables on the airfoil were researched.The defect in Hicks-Henne function method for airfoil trailing edge design was analyzed,and improved Hicks-Henne algorithm was proposed to improve the angle of trailing edge.HicksHenne function and its improved algorithm extend the wind airfoil parameterization method.It has practical value in engineering.
