Title: Comparison on Effect of Amiodarone and Propafenone Treating Paroxysmal Supraventricular Tachycardia
Abstract: Objective To compare the efficacy of amiodarone and propafenone treating paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia. Methods 88 cases with paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia were selected and divided into two groups randomly. The A group for 44 cases were treated with amiodarone, and the B group for 44 cases were treated with propafenone. Results The difference for the successful rate of cardioversion between two groups had no statistical significance(P0.05). The cardioversion time of A group was longer than that of B group, and the cardioversion time distribution of A group was worse than that of B group, the incidence rate of adverse reactions in A group was lower than that of B group, which had statistical significance(P0.05). Conclusion Propafenone and propafenone treating paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia has advantages and disadvantages. Amiodarone has the advantages that the effect is fast, the patients have poor tolerance and it is applied to the patients with normal cardiac function and without organic heart disease, and amiodarone has the advantages that the effect is slow, there are few adverse reactions, there are wide range of indications, and it is applied to patients with organic heart disease and cardiac insufficiency.
