Title: Comparative study on the clinical curative effect and inflammatory indicators effect of Chinese and western medicine treatment in treating wind xiao patients in the stage of mild-to-moderate acute asthma
Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the clinical curative effect of syndrome differentiation and treatment of TCM, syndrome differentiation and treatment of TCM combined with acupoint application and conventional western medicine treatment in treating with wind xiao patients in the stage of mild-to-moderate acute asthma preliminary. Methods: 157 patients were divided into 3 groups randomly. Patients in group A were treated with Masu Zhixiao Decoction, patients in group B were treated with acupoint application based on the treatment of Masu Zhixiao Decoction, and patients in group C were treated with western medicine according to the asthma guidelines. All the patients were treated for 10 days. The TCM symptom scores, asthma control indicators, the ratio of eosinophils(EOS) and measurement values were observed before and after treatment. Results: The TCM symptom scores, asthma amtrol indicators of the three groups was all improved significantly(P0.01). The curative effect of daytime symptom in group A was better than that of the other two groups(P0.01), the ratio of EOS and measurement values of group A were decreased significantly(P0.01, P0.05). Conclusion: The three groups could control the acute asthma patients with wind xiao effectively. Syndrome differentiation and treatment group has a better effect than western medicine group and comprehensive treatment group in controlling daytime syndrome, and could reduce EOS ratio and measured values.
