Title: Effect of glutamine granules enema on IFN-γ,IL-4,IL-8 in patients with ulcerative colitis and observation of clinical efficacy
Abstract: OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects and efficacy of glutamine granules enema on ulcerative colitis patients with IFN-γ,IL-4,IL-8. METHODS A total of 80 patients with ulcerative colitis were randomly divided into two groups and the control group 40 cases observed were given glutamine granules enema, the control group received sulfasalazine enema for 4 weeks, cases were evaluated and observed IFN-γ,IL-4,IL-8 changes. RESULTS After 4 weeks of treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group, was 95.0% but in the control group the total effective rate was 70.0%,total effective difference between the two groups was significant(P0.05).Two groups of patients before IFN-γ,IL-4,IL-8,respectively,the difference was not significant; After 4 weeks,IFN-γ,IL-8 were significantly reduced, and the treatment group and control group, the difference was statistically significant. After 4 weeks of treatment,IL-4 expression levels increased significantly compared with before treatment, the difference was significant.Between the two groups, the difference was significant. CONCLUSION Ulcerative colitis enema treated by glutamine granules can reduce serum cytokines IFN-γ,IL-4,IL-8,which may be involved in the pathogenesis of UC.
