Title: Mao Zedong's Intellectual Trajectory on Consolidating the People's Democratic Dictatorship
Abstract: After the founding of the PRC,one of Mao Zedong's preoccupations was how to establish and maintain a people's democratic dictatorship. The ideas about people's democratic dictatorship that Mao developed reflected the conditions facing the new state, with a backward economy and threats from within and abroad.Throughout the 1950s and 1960s Mao esplored the ways in which that dictatorship could be protected, and he became increasingly concerned with class struggle. This paper describes how Mao saw political, especially establishing the NPC and CPPCC systems, and economic policies as means of consolidating the people's democratic dictatorship.
