Title: Effect of Reactive Emulsifier on the Pressure Sensitive Adhesive of Acrylic Emulsion for Protective Film
Abstract: The pressure-sensitive adhesive(PSA) of acrylic emulsion were synthesized by pre-emulsion polymerization, and the effects of different kinds of emulsifier systems on the physical properties of PSA were discussed. The emulsion and their films were characterized by FTIR and TEM.The results show that reactive emulsifier is effectively involved in the copolymerization, and the synthesized polymer emulsion has smaller particle sizes and good distribution. When w(compound emulsifiers)=3%(based on total monomers),and m(ANPEO10)∶ m(DNS-458)∶ m(DNS-501)=1.5∶ 1.1∶ 0.4,the solid mass fraction was 48.03%,the monomer conversion was 97.66%,the emulsion viscosity was just 38.8 s,the average emulsion particle size was 238 nm,the initial adhesion of PSA could adhere to the 8th number stell ball, the holding adhesion was more than 24 hours, and the 180 ° pelling strength was 0.304 N/mm.When the protective film was attached to the stainless steel surface, which had baken for 24 h at 80 ℃,there were no residual adhesion and mist pollution on the surface.
