Title: Study on Modeling for Coke Collapse of Burden Distribution in a Blast Furnace
Abstract: Burden distribution is one of the key factors affecting the gas distribution in the blast furnace. The collision of ore on the coke layer makes the coke collapsed and piled up in the centre of the blast furnace during the course of the loading.Considering its effect on the material's distribution, the phenomenon of coke collapse was discussed concisely when making the simulated model of burden distribution based on the experiment and statistical analysis, which corrected the burden curves by expert rules and obtains model parameters by the relation of material balance. The validity of the correction of the model considering coke collapse was demonstrated by analysing the radial distributions of both temperature and ore-to-coke ratio in the blast furnace.
