Title: Analysis on the Epidemiological Characteristics Caused by Rotavirus Among 2 596 Cases Infants with Diarrhea
Abstract: OBJECTIVE To know the infection status and epidemiological characteristics of infantile diarrhea caused by rotavirus. METHODS ELISA was performed to detect a group of rotavirus in fresh dejection of 2 596 cases of in-hospital or out-patient infants with diarrhea,and the epidemiological analysis was performed at the same time.RESULTS Among 2 596 detected stool samples,1192 (45.92%) cases were positive RV antigen.The positive quantity and rate of RV antigen from October to February in the next year were 990(86.32%) and there were significant differences between this period and the other.RV infection rates in male and female were no significant difference.The most susceptible age of the infection was from 6 months to 24 months.And there were significant differences in the positive rates of RV antigen to the other age groups.CONCLUSION The main pathogen of infantile diarrhea is rotavirus.We should give the children who were 6 to 24 vaccinations in fashion seasons.
