Title: The comparison between the cultural connotation of animal words and phrases in Chinese and English
Abstract: There is close relationship between animals and man's life. For this reason, a lot of words and phrases have something to do with animals in Chinese and English vocabulary. Some of these words and phrases in the two languages have the same meanings, but most have different connotations. In this paper, the author divides these words and phrases into four categories based on the interrelation between them and their meanings in the two languages, and point out the origins of the four categories of words and phrases.
