Title: Interventions to Reduce Maternal Mortality in Floating Population Evaluation Results from 2000 to 2005 Years in Bao'an District
Abstract: OBJECTIVE According to the fact that maternal mortality in Bao'an District primarily in the nature of population flows,analsising intervention measures,to further provide the basis for decision!making to reduce maternal mortality.METHODS Targeting the reason lead to special groups of maternal mortality changes trends,developing interventions,analsising materal deaths in Baoan district from January 1,2000 to December 31,2005.RESULTS The maternal mortality is far higher in mobile resident population than resident population,the average incidence of maternal mortality in six years:floating population:90.19/100 000,resident popula-tion:15.17/100 000.The five main reasons lead to maternal death is:Obstetric heamorrhage,amniotic fluid embolism,pregnancy hypertension syndrome,pregnancy combined heart disease,pregnancy combined hepatitis and so on.The first cause of death is obstet-ric heamorrhage from 2000 to 2005,but amniotic fluid embolism became the main cause in next two years.After the implementation of interventions,the maternal mortality is significant decline in 2005 years,compared with 2000 years,from 2000 212.99/100,000 to 2005 53.53/100 000,decline more than three!fifths.CONCLUSION Implementation of interventions play an important role to reduce maternal mortality in floating population.
