Title: On Application of the Schematic Theory of Reading Comprehension in the Reading Teaching of College English
Abstract: How to improve students' English reading ability has become an important component in college English teaching.In reading teaching process,teachers should make use of schema to help students to develop a comprehensive analysis of reading ability and reading comprehension,and put forward to some effective ways to help the students to build schemas of reading.Through the establishment and activation of students' schemata we can greatly enhance the quality and effectiveness of reading.This paper presents a comprehensive introduction of the Schematic Theory of Reading Comprehension,analyzes and explores the effective influence of schema theory on reading comprehension and presents some useful way.
