Title: Study Report on Schema Theory and Vocational College English Reading Teaching
Abstract: The innovation of reading comprehension teaching is the key to the English language teaching reform.Therefore more and more importance is attached to the training of reading comprehension.But,under the influence of the traditional pedagogy,quite a few English teachers often focus on the learning of the knowledge of vocabulary and grammar,and as a result,their students ignore the learning,accumulating and applying of the schemata knowledge,which is closely related to the reading materials.The author,with the achievements in reading studies,applies schema theory in English reading teaching.It illustrates that this model improves not only their reading interest but also their reading abilities.
