Title: The Impact of Zongheng Chinese Input Method on the Learning of Chinese Characters by Foreign Students
Abstract: Previous researches have often focused on the teaching of Chinese characters from the perspectives of Chinese graphemes and psychology while the research on the Chinese input method focuses on the design of the method and teaching process,with little interest in helping foreign students learn Chinese with the Chinese input method.This paper,based on both qualitative and quantitative analysis,explores the relevance of Zongheng Chinese Input Method to foreign students' learning of Chinese characters and concludes that Zongheng Chinese Input Method can help foreign students learn Chinese characters and facilitate their recognizing and writing Chinese characters,and the impact of Zongheng Chinese Input Method on foreign students with different language levels and backgrounds and on their learning of Chinese characters of different forms requires further research.
