Title: Preparation of CuO nanoparticles and influence of composite method of CuO/AP on thermal decomposition of AP
Abstract: Nano-sized CuO was synthesized by using solid-phase method at room temperature. The phase and morphology of CuO nanoparticles were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).The influence of calcination on grain size and dispersity was discussed.Nanometer CuO/AP composite particles were prepared by means of dry grinding, wet grinding,solvent-non-solvent method and spray drying solvent-non-solvent method. The decomposition temperatures, decomposition rate and heat release of CuO/AP composite particles were analyzed by using thermogravimetry-differential scanning calorimetry(TG-DSC),and scanning electron microscope(SEM)were used to observe morphology of CuO/AP composite particles. The results show that calcined CuO particles are easy to be aggregated.Thermal decomposition temperatures of AP can be dramatically decreased by using the four methods mentioned above.Spray drying solvent-non-solvent method is the best process to take advantage of the catalytic properties of CuO on the AP.The exothermic peak of low temperature decreases by 42.7 ℃ and the exothermic peak of high temperature decreases by 114.1 ℃ while heat release increases by 110.9% compared with that of AP without CuO.Composite method could influence thermal decomposition process of AP as a result of changing the disepersion of CuO and morphology of AP.
