Title: Study on the preparation and catalytic characteristics of nano-nickel powder
Abstract: Nano-nickel powder was prepared by means of chemical reduction and characterized by using TEM, XRD. The obtained nano-nickel powder is of crystalline with the average particle diameter around 50nm. To investigate its catalytic characteristics, 5% nano-nickel powder was added into superfine ammonium perchlorate(AP), and the composite state of sample was analyzed by means of SEM,XPS. Results show that the nickel powders in the particle shape sized about 50mm exist uniformly on the surface of AP. The catalytic effect of nano-nickel powder on the thermal decomposition of AP was investigated by DTA. Results show that the high temperature exothermic peak of AP added with 5% nano-nickel powder is advanced by 105℃, which is more than that added with micrometer nickel powder. It demonstrated that nano-nickel has significant catalytic characteristics on the thermal decomposition characteristics of AP. And the catalysis mechanism is discussed preliminarily.
