Title: THE GENETIC DIVERSITY OF TEN PIG BREEDS IN CHINA BY MEANS OF FOUR MICROSATELLITE LOCI
Abstract: The polymorphism of four microsatellites has been investigated in seven Chinese indigenous pig beeds(Erhualian,Tongcheng,Qingping,Yangxin,Wannanhua,Gandonghei,Wanan) and three introduced breeds(Large White,Landrace,Duroc) in China, and the genetic diversity within and among populations is analyzed The results showd that Erhualian,Gandonghei,Tongcheng have higher within-breed variation, while Wanan has the lowest variation Within-breed variation of Chinese indigenous pig breeds except Wanan is higher than that of the introduced pig breeds The clustering of ten breeds is consistent with their geographical distribution
