Title: The genetic diversity of indigenous pig breeds in Fujian Province based on microsatellite markers
Abstract: Eight microsatellite DNA markers were used to study the genetic diversity of five indigenous pig breeds(Huai pig,Ganzhuang pig,Putian pig,Minbei pig,Wuyi pig).Heterozygosity, effective number of alleles, polymorphism information content(PIC) and Nei's standard genetic distance were counted. The results showed as follows: 8 microsatellite loci were high polymorphism;the genetic diversity in five populations was higher;and the average genetic heterozygosity was between 0.7006 and 0.7760;the average polymorphism information content was between 0.6917 and 0.7609.The genetic distance between Putian pig and Minbei pig was the nearest(0.5531),while the genetic distance between Guanzhuang pig and Minbei pig was the furthest(0.8618).
