Title: Determination of hesperetin, luteolin and apigenin in flos buddlejae by capillary electrophoresis
Abstract: After investigation of the effects of buffer acidity and concentration, applied voltage, injection time, a capillary electrophoresis method was developed to determine hesperetin, luteolin and apigenin in flos buddlejae. Under the optimized conditions, the three analytes were well separated in less than 15 min. A linear relationship between the peak height and concentration was found in the range of 0.01~0.50, 0.02~0.70, 0.04~0.80 mg/mL with coorelative coefficient of 0.9992, 0.9994, 0.9984 for hesperetin, luteolin and apigenin, respectively. The relative standard deviation based on migration time and peak height were 1.3%, 2.2%, 2.6% and 4.2%, 3.7%, 4.6%, respectively and β-CD. The detection limits were 3.5, 4.5 and 5.0 μg/mL, respectively. The method was utilized to determine hesperetin, luteolin and apigenin in flos buddlejae samples with satisfactory results.
