Title: Comparative analysis of spiral CT and clinicopathologic diagnosis of solitary pulmonary nodules in 57 cases
Abstract: Objective:To explore the valuation of spiral CT in the diagnosis of solitary pulmonary nodules(SPN).Methods:The clinical,CT and histopathologic data of 57 patients with SPN confirmed by surgical resection in 46 cases and/or biopsy in 19 cases were retrospectively analysed.Results:After spiral CT examination,32 pulmonary cancers,9 pulmonary tuberculomas and 16 pulmonary inflammatory pseudotumas were diagnosed.However,34 pulmonary cancers,9 pulmonary tuberculomas and 14 pulmonary inflammatory pseudotumas were confirmed by histopathology.Conclusion:Spiral CT for qualitative diagnosis of SPN is limited,but it has better localizing value to pulmonary nodules.
