Title: 64-detector Row Spiral CT Angiography of Superior Mesenteric Artery and its Clinical Application Value
Abstract: Objective The objective to investigate 64-detector row spiral CT Angiography of superior mesenteric artery(SMA) and its clinical application value. Methods Retrospective analysis of 32 cases of unexplained abdominal pain in patients with 64-detector row spiral CT Angiography of SMA,and using the axial, multiplanar reconstruction(MPR),surface reconstruction(CPR),the maximum intensity projection(MIP) and volume rendering(VRT) and other post processing techniques, display of SMA.Results 32 patients,5 cases of superior mesenteric artery is normal,4 of which were different degrees of renal artery stenosis,1 case of partial splenic artery with moderate stenosis.27 cases show the superior mesenteric artery and its branches filling defects within the circular or strip,of which 1 with partial superior mesenteric artery dissection,5 patients with different degrees of celiac trunk block,12 cases withBilateral renal artery(or the side of the renal artery) different degrees of stenosis,1 case of splenic artery with mild stenosis,2 cases of abdominal aortic aneurysm thrombus formation,2 cases of aortic dissection,4 patients with intestinal expansion, wall thickening, two cases of intestinal necrosis. Conclusion 64-slice spiral CT angiography in the diagnosis of lesions of the SMA embolization as a noninvasive, accurate, fast and valuable means of checking, convenient and affordable.
