Title: Application of Multilayer CT and MRI in the Diagnosis and Analysis of Orbital Cavernous Hemangioma
Abstract: Objective To apply multilayer CT and hypo-field MRI in the diagnosis and analysis of orbital cavernous hemangioma, and offer the maximal help to the clinical operation. Methods Thirty-two cases of cavernous hemangioma were evaluated by hypo-field MRI and multilayer CT, and marched the affections by three-dimensional reconstruction. Results CT and MRI could demonstrate the benign features of the tumor. Both modalities clearly delineated the lesion and this information, together with the clinical findings, usually led to the correct indication of histology. The two methods helped decide spatial dimensions of the tumor precisely. By the three-dimensional reconstruction use of multilayer CT could make the accurate diagnosis between tumor and orbital wall, and MRI was particularly useful to reveal the relationship of tumor with the optic nerve. The enhancement scanning could reflect the physiological nature of tumor. Conclusion CT and MRI both make the important effect to the level diagnosis of orbital cavernous hemangioma, as the same as the features of strengthening. All these provided the exact diagnosis and three dimensions consequence pathway before clinical operation.
