Title: Analysis of fast dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI in the diagnosis of 35 cases of orbital cavernous hemangioma
Abstract: Objective To study the MRI findings of orbital cavernous hemangioma, and the value of diagnosing and differential diagnosing the cavernous hemangioma with fast dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI.Methods Thirty-five cases of orbital cavernous hemangioma were proved by surgery and pathology. All the 35 cases adopted contrast-enhanced MRI,retrospectively studied the conwentional enhanced MRI scan. Results In the 35 cases of orbital cavernous hemangioma,32 cases revealed progressive and homogeneous filling of the mass, and 3 cases revealed overall uniform intensive magnetic resonance. Conclusions Progressive enhancement is a pathognomonic sign of cavernous hemangioma which is different from other tumors.
