Title: Application of pentazocine to prevent postoperative hyperalgesia in remifentanilbased anesthesia
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the feasibility of pentazocine in preventing postoperative hyperalgesia induced by remifen-tanil based anesthesia. Methods One hundred and fifty ASA I adult patients undergoing selective or emergency laparotomy, were randomized into 3 groups:patients in goup Ⅰ were received pentazoain(0. 5 mg/kg) by intravenous injection during indaction of anesthesia;patients in group Ⅱ were received pentazoqine (0. 5 mg/kg) by intravenacs injection at 10 minutes before the end of the operation. Time to resumption of spontaneous respiration, eye opening and extubation were recorded, and the levels of pain and consciousness were evaluated at 5 min,10 min after extubation. Results The time to resumption of spontaneous respiration, eye opening and extubation in group Ⅰ and Ⅱ were significant shorter than that in group Ⅲ ( P 0. 01);the level of consciousness scores in group Ⅰ was significant higher than that in group Ⅱ and Ⅲ ( P 0. 05);the levels of pain scores in group Ⅰ,Ⅲ were significantly higher than that in group Ⅱ( P 0. 01),but none of the pain scores in the three groups exceeded. Conclusion Pentazocine can prevent postoperative hyperalgesia induced by remifentanilbased anesthesia.
