Title: Influence of Sertraline on Effect and Cognitive Function in Alzheimer' s Disease with Depressive Symptoms
Abstract: OBJECTIVE To observe the effect and cognitive function of Sertraline combined with Donepezilin Alzheimer' s disease with depressive symptoms. METHODS 42 patients of Alzheimer' s disease with depressive symptoms that conforms to the diagnostic standard were divided into two group according to serial number. The treatment group was given Donepezil combined with Sertraline,the control group was given Donepezil only. The patients were observed for 8 weeks. Patients were evaluated by the Hamilton Depression Scale( HAND) for the efficacy of antidepressant and mini mental state examination( MMSE) for the cognitive function. RESULTS The treatment group had significant difference of HAND-D score after 1 weeks treatment( P 0. 05). Compared with the control group,the treatment group had significant difference of HAND-D score after 2 weeks treatment( P 0. 01). MMSE were increased significandly in the treatment group after treatment( P 0. 05). CONCLUSION The effect of sertraline is obvious in Alzheimer's disease with depressive symptoms. The cognitive function is improve after patients used Sertraline.
