Title: Therapy of Choroidal Neovascularization Secondary to Pathological Myopia
Abstract: Choroidal neovascularization( CNV) secondary to pathological myopia( PM) is one of the leading causes of irreversible visual impairment worldwide, especially for patients younger than 50 years old in Asian countries.Early diagnosis and timely therapeutic strategy for CNV may greatly decline the risks of visual loss and improve visual quality to some extent.Different treatment modalities for pathological myopic CNV have been attempted in clinical such as photodynamic therapy, inhibitors of vascular endothelial growth factor and combined therapies.Visual outcome of these therapies has been reported to be better. However, the long-term safety and efficacy still needs recognition.
