Title: The expression of cyclin G in gastric carcinoma and its significance
Abstract: Objective To investigate the expression of cyclin G1、cyclin G2 in gastric carcinoma and its significance. Methods The mRNA expression of cyclin G1、cyclin G2 in 55 cases of gastric carcinoma was measured with RT-PCR. The protein expression of cyclin G1 and cell cycle were detected by flow cytometry. Results Expression rate of cyclin G1 in gastric carcinoma was 58%,which was higher than that in normal tissue(P0.05);The positive expression levels of cyclin G2 mRNA in gastric carcinoma is 0.542±0.488,which was significantly lower than normal tissue(1.965±0.425, P0.01). By DNA sequencing, the data showed no difference between the positive segment of cyclin G in gastric carcinoma and the objective gene in the genebank. The protein expression levels of cyclin G1 was correlated with its mRNA expression levels(r=0.456,P=0.000), but no relationship between cyclin G1 and cyclin G2(r=-0.217,P=0.063) was observed. Conclusions Abnormal expression of cyclin G was closely related with the origin and progression of gastric carcinoma.
