Title: Studies on physico-chemical properties of polysaccharide from Cordyceps militaris
Abstract: The polysaccharide was isolated from the solid fermentation products of Paecilomyces militaris. The content of polysaccharide was 56%.After analysed by TLC and GC,the components of its monose were arabinose, xylose, mannose, glucose and galactose,in the molar ratio of 1∶2∶1∶3∶3,which was different from those reported before. After purified by Sephadex G75 chromatography,it appeared two peaks:a majority peak, which contented 72% saccharide, and a small peak. Their molecular weight were 57,000 and 40,000,representatively.
