Title: A Study on Nutritional Knowledge,Attitude and Practice of Students in Shenyang Medical College
Abstract: Objective:To understand nutritional knowledge,attitudes and behavior of students in Shenyang Medical College,and provide reference for future nutrition education.Methods:According to theChinese residents dietary guidelinesandBalance Dietary Pagoda,a survey of nutrition knowledge,attitude and practice(K-A-P)was carried out using a questionnaire among all freshmen.Results:The passing rate of nutrition knowledge of the students was 71.1%.22.5% of students knew Chinese residents dietary guidelines.The topic high awareness of questions was High-calcium in milk and seafood for 93.9%.90.8% of the students were willing to understand nutrition knowledge.30.2% of the students would moderate their behavior after knowing nutrition knowledge.41.6% of the students were willing to receive nutrition knowledge from newspapers,magazines and posters.The students who had breakfast accounted for 87.8% in girls and 76.5 % in boys(χ2=19.454,P0.05).The intakes of milk,fish and vegetable were lower.The percent of behavior in heavy tastes and partial eclipse was higher.Conclusion:Students lacked a better understanding of nutritional knowledge and had some unhealthy dietary practices.Nutrition education should be focus on medical student.
