Title: The Clinical Application Value of Three-Dimensional Imaging Technique with Spiral CT in Central Lung Cancer
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the clinial application value of 3D imaging technique with spiral CT in central lung cancer. Methods CT virtual bronchoscopy (CTVB) and shade surface display (SSD) with spiral CT were performed on 42 patients with central lung cancers. Results CTVB mainly showed neoplasm in lumen, local projection, bronchial stenosis and thickening of the tracheal wall. The position, location extension of tumor and the relationship with the contiguous tissues were shown well by combing CTVB with multiplanar reconstruction (MPR). SSD could facilitate understanding the whole apperances of tracheobronchial anatomy and the extraluminal feature. Conclusion 3D reconstruction with spiral CT is helpful for judging the stage of central lung cancer before operation, it can provide a impersonal foundation for selecting the operation program, therapeutic evaluation, monitoring post operative tumor recurrence of the stump, and acts an effective complement method for the invasive FOB examination.
