Title: Study on influence of dosage of isoniazid in tuberculosis treatment programme on efficacy and prognosis of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis
Abstract: Objective To explore the dosage of isoniazid in tuberculosis treatment programme on efficacy and prognosis of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. Methods By using random pairing method,90 patients without history of liver disease with positive TB(+) sputa for initial treatment were divided into trial group(group A) and control group(group B).Patients in control group were treated with standard short-course chemotherapy, and patients in trial group were treated by standard short-course chemotherapy in addition with isoniazid at dosage of 0.5 g / time / day. Results The negative inversion rates of sputum smear and culture in trial group were both 88.9%;and those in control group were 71.1% and 68.9%,the difference between these two groups was significant(P 0.05);and the rate of impairment in liver function and withdrawal rate were 28.9%,11.1% and 24.4%,8.9% in two groups respectively. Conclusion The blood drug concentration of isoniazid in standard short-course chemotherapy regimen is often lower than normal concentration, hence appropriate increase in dosage of isoniazid can raise the negative inversion rate in sputum and cure rate in patients with tuberculosis, and reduce the relapse and drug resistance of tuberculosis, and it has important significance in clinical practice.
