Title: Clinical Application and Efficacy of Isotretinoin Erythromycin Gel for Mild to Moderate Acne Vulgaris
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of isotretinoin erythromycin gel in the treatment of mild to moderate acne vulgaris.Methods By a single-blind randomized controlled method,a total of 160 patients with mild to moderate acne vulgaris were assigned to one of the following two groups:the trail group which was treated with isotretinoin erythromycin gel(80 cases),while the control group was treated with tazarotene cream(80 cases).After treatment for 56 consecutive days with each drug respectively smeared on the surface individually every night,the efficacy and safety were investigated.Results The number of skin lesions in both of the two groups was reduced.Effective rate for the trial group was 80.56%,the control group was 65.71%,with significant difference between them(P0.05).The adverse reactions were 13.89% and 21.34% in the trial and control group respectively,with no significant difference between them(P0.05).Conclusion Isotretinoin erythromycin gel is a safe and more effective drug in the treatment of mild to moderate acne vulgaris compared with tazarotene cream.
