Title: Finshing Effects of Whole Corn Silage Fed to Beef cattle
Abstract: Twenty four crossbred beef cattle were allotted in two groups and fed corn silage or dry corn straw, respectively. Results showed that average daily gain of the cattle fed corn silage were higher than that of the other group by 46. 2 percent (P0. 01). Concentrate and forage intake for 1 kg weight gain were 1. 052 kg, 8. 0 kg and 3.17 kg, 10. 16 kg, respectively, profit per cattle fed with corn silage were higher than that of the other group for $ 40. 73 (P 0. 01), which showed corn silage, as a good forage source for beef cattle should be widely extended.
