Abstract: During the reign of Jiaqing in the Min g Dynasty,the Japanese monk Ceyan Zhouliang entered the Ming Dynasty twi ce,which shows some policies made by the imperial govern ment in the Ming Dynasty for the trade with Japan,the disasters caused by J apanese pirates in the coastal areas of East Zhejiang and the ban on mariti me trade with foreign countries in th e Ming Dynasty,from which people can know something about the politics,economy,military and cul tural environment in Zhoushan at that time.
