Title: Study on low salt reactive dyeing of modified vinylon-milk protein fabrics
Abstract: The dyeing of vinylon-milk protein fabric with two bi-functional reactive dyes was studied. The influences of Na2SO4 dosage,Na2CO3 dosage, dyeing temperature and fixation time on the dye uptake of reactive dyes were discussed, and the optimal dyeing process was obtained. The color fastness of fabric modified with cationic modifier HSQA was measured and compared with the control sample. The results showed that the dye uptake, fixation rate of Cibacron Red FN on modified vinylon-milk fabrics were improved. The dosage of Na2SO4 was greatly declined, and even without adding. The dyeing time was shortened, and the dye availability was improved, nearly 40% of the amount of dyes was saved. The modified vinylon-milk fabric had good washing fastness, however, the crocking fastness decreased 1 level compared with the controlled sample.
